I don't make a point of washing my clubs, but I still keep them clean.  I wipe them with a damp towel after every shot, and use a brush to keep the grooves clean.  That is solely for the purpose of preserving their function.  I don't worry about scratches and dings.  They are tools designed to strike the ground.  The ground is not always soft turf.  I've hit from gravel and pebbles, from concrete and asphalt, from tree roots.  I've never broken a club or hurt myself in any of those situations.

My clubs do have some nicks and scratches.... battle scars proudly earned.

+1

Golf clubs are tools of the trade. I always make sure that the groves are clean and I wipe them after every shot.

No iron covers for me.

I never trade in my irons and have at least 7 sets sitting in the garage so resale value is not a concern period.

I have started to donate my unwanted clubs to a local organization called "Kids Sport".

Getting nicks and scratches on irons is a bit like getting a scratch on a new car.

It's almost a relief so you don't have to worry about them anymore.

Drivers and putters are different. Any damage on the head and topline means an ebay excursion for me.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
    • Day 17 (26 Mar 25) -  Big day working on a project at church - therefore it was grab some time with the 9i in the backyard working on pitch and runs later in the day.  Focused on keeping the ball flighted to get some good rollout.  Hit about 20 shots doing that and then moved to the 54 to keep working on getting good torso rotation and not flipping through it.  Was not perfect as there were some bloopers and fliers but overall a good session on distance control.
    • Day 177 - 2025-03-26 Hit some slower drivers and some little wedges today. Drivers were to show the dumb side of my brain (the subconscious side) that the downswing works just fine.
