Freeze frame the impact position - the hands is way ahead of the ball and head as well.

I find it complicated. I achieve a position between the arm, hands and club shaft being in a direct line to the ball (vertical) and the position you see in the video (lag). According to some of the swing check articles on the sandtrap main page lag is a bi-product of good mechanics. The more I work on and improve my swing, the more I believe that lag comes naturally. Getting into the correct positions, making the correct movements with all active parts of my body in the golf swing.
