I didn't even know his health was diminishing. I guess anything can happen at age 94. Byron is truly a legend in the sport, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Nelson family.

Some of his records will live forever, and so will his legacy.

How times have changed.

In 1944, he played 23 events and won 13 of them. The following year he won 18 times in 31 starts, including 11 in a row. Nelson finished second seven times in 1945, was never out of the top 10 ...

Retiring at 34, Nelson only won $182,000 in his career.

It is a sad day for the golfing world. One of the true gentlemen of the game has passed and it diminishes us all. Heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

Sad to hear he passed. Gone are the days he will preside over his tournament. He was quite a man.

    • Started hot….finished cold.  Shot a 45-54 = 99 thatbiz a good 18 hole score for me but I really fell apart on the back 9.  On #11 I put 3 balls in the water 🤬. Still got an 8 on the hole but that is simply unforgivable!!
    • Toughest test in golf.   Please…
    • Oh absolutely, because you can't possibly play without 14 clubs in the bag. Also remind her that once you upgrade your 3 wood, you're going to have to get a new driver to match. It's going to affect your mental game to see a different make/model and I'm sure your wife supports you and wants you to do your best at your hobbies. Welcome to TST
    • I also go with this one. Tiger was always a great lag putter. We normally remember all the clutch putts he made but I think that his strength was always speed. Don't know if stats back that up.
    • Rory McIlroy calls off divorce from Erica Stoll: 'We have resolved our differences' Nearly one month after Rory McIlroy filed for divorce from Erica Stoll, he confirmed they have reconciled after the pair "resolved our differences." Good for them, and their kid, but how does his game react to an almost divorce?
