Been lurking around here for a couple days reading and searching about this topic. Thinking about building myself a backyard yard green for putting and some light chipping. I was planning on spending extra and getting a nylon green instead of the Polypropylene, but then I came across this site about the Bent Poly.

I really like this "kit" its 15x10 and its the Polypropylene but, "supposedly" its bent fibers give a true roll plus it's a little cheaper than nylon. Supports chipping from around 10 yards. which is plenty as I have a smaller suburban yard. Rolls 9 and up on the Stimp Meter. (Is this fast enough? I suck on fast greens and need practice.)

DiY projects don't bother me, gotta save some money somewhere. Just wanted to see if anyone wanted to weigh in on this, other DiYers, if they have bought from this company, they offer free shipping anywhere in the US. I thought the price for the kit was pretty reasonable.

Open to any thoughts or input, thanks again for the help.

I know this "technically" is my first post, I was told my post almost makes me seem like a representative of this company. I am no way connected to this company it's just one of the many dozens I kind of narrowed down on my own. I am no where near sold on one yet. So if someone else recommends using a different company from past experience let me know.

Again trying to keep this not to heavy on the wallet, want to do the installation my self. Around 15X10 Just don't want to break the bank on purchasing the turf, then I don't want to buy the turf to find out I should have gotten a different type turf from some where else.

I have found some really great pics and threads of other peoples home putting green and makes me want one even more.

Just found this Trapper as I was looking to do the same. I live in Mass and I guess you gotta look for something local as some of the companies I have looked into charge an arm and a leg for shipping. I am gonna check the site out and I will let you know what I think. I am no pro on this stuff but pretty handy and will only need to buy the turf, the rest I will do.

quality greens require a lot more than just grass, there is a layer of sand, and if I'm not mistaken foam, could be wrong on that, but I know it is much more than just grass
