4* bounce wedges

Some wedges are available with only 4* bounce.

I can understand they will be great if you want to open them, remaining at almost the same bounce, but if you strike these a bit fat ...... they will be going deep in the ground.

Any use .... to go for a 4* bounce wedge, or is it just only for the best wedge players ?

I had a 60.08 TM, and I ground all the bounce off just for fun, and that thing digs so hard. I've only hit it good a couple of times, and you really have to pick it clean.

I take some pretty big divots with my 60* on fully swings.
They'd be massive with a 4*

I think they'd be good for courses with really deep rough because they'd cut through it better.

I play my wedges at 60 04 56 11 and 50 08. I really like the 60 04 for several reasons. I can open it way to flop and have less chance to blade it. Also the low bounce cuts through rough better so when I need to dig something out of some nasty rough to get it back in play the 60 often comes out. I also do almost all my chipping with the 60 and really like the bounce for this off of the tight lies.
