Has anyone gone to this tourny? I am considering going to it and wonder what the experience is like at this course. Any input appreciated.

I only live about 30 minutes from there but, no, I have never gone. I have however played the front 9 of the course they play on, TPC Boston.

I live in the next town over and have gone three times. It's a very well run tourney with a great field so I have really enjoyed myself there. I have followed Tiger and Mickleson around and while it was crowded I never felt like I was being pushed around (although I am 6'3" 265). I would highly recommend it if you are going to be in the area. If you have time you can play a round at Norton Country Club after getting horny for golf watching the pros.

I am thinking a Thursday trip. I do not work that day and hopefully beat the crowds. I use your height though..... I want to see who is going to play it this year, but I did not see a list of guys who are committed to the event on there website.

Keep in mind it's a Friday-Monday touney. It's also a FedEx Cop Playoff event so the field isn't set.

Right, it's the second FedExCup playoff event so the field won't be set until after The Barclays is over, but it will be the top 100 players in the FedExCup standings so it's guaranteed to be the best of the best.

The event is great-- it's very well run, TPC Boston is a great course and easy to walk if you want to follow a specific golfer. There are a wide variety of ticket options so I'm sure it'll be easy to find something that suits what you're looking for. It also sounds like there are some cool spectator enhancements for 2010, so even if you've been before I recommend that everyone should go this year!

I think it's awesome they named a bank after such a valuable feminine hygeine product. It keeps Joan Rivers vibrant, fresh and full of pep!

    • Agreed - only 5 players better than -4. Not quite alarm bells are ringing time just yet.
    • I don't really care what the winning score is. The best players still generally bubble up to the top. Also, second is three back. It's not like there are ten people within two shots of the lead.
    • Are these course getting easier? are the players getting better? should we not worry about tournaments that used to produce single digit winners are now producing course records year after year.  I am not talking roll back I am just curious why scores are so much lower than five to ten years ago.
    • I've posted plenty of positive things about Tiger over the years. I just like to play fair.  But if you want to see me praise TW some more here you go: 12 wins by 7 shots or more - Jack had 4 3 separate win streaks of 5 or more in a row - Jack won 3 in a row once It took Jack 172 more events and 9 extra years to reach Tiger's 71 wins by 2009 TW is the only player since 1900 to win a major by double digits and he did it twice 30% peak win rate is even higher than the previous record holder Ben Hogan (25%) 11 time PGA Tour Player of the year - Jack had 5 12 times lead the Tour in wins - Jack 6 10 times money list leader - Jack 8 Jack officially has 73 wins, but 2 of them are team wins with Arnie. You could argue he should be listed with 71 and I wouldn't disagree.
    • I mean that's clearly an opinion.  The funny thing is I never even attacked Tiger, I just pointed out that the other poster had a point when he mentioned that Jack had a longer career. Tiger basically had 5 years when he could have been winning more tournaments if not for his injuries. 2010-2011 and then again 2015-2017. Hard to make the argument after his final win because not many players win a ton after age 43.  If those numbers support the fact that Jack had a longer career so be it. Don't take that as an affront to Tiger.
