Has anyone checked out the " Pivot Pro " http://www.pivotpro.net/

In attempting to go back to a more traditional swing (was using the S&T;) I find that I am inconsistent mainly because I tend to sway in the backswing...in trying to teach myself to be more consistent and not sway I saw this devise and was wondering is anyone has tried it and what they thought? Thanks.

Did you get any help or post any videos here when you were trying S&T;? I ask only because swaying would be the first thing S&T; could easily teach you to fix, and it's exactly what this thing does. I won't belabor the point, but I wish we'd have had the chance to help you before you abandoned it.

To answer your question, I don't know if this thing does what a golf ball under your right outstep couldn't do. Or a triangular piece of wood or a door stop or a roll of tape or anything that elevates the outside of your foot. I'm a big fan of training aids - I gladly spent $300 on my Z Factor and $25 or so for my Swing Extender, for example - but when you can replicate a training aid for little to no money then I become a fan of the idea of the aid, not so much the aid itself. This looks like it does little more than bank your right foot in. Oh, and a driveway stick at Lowe's is $2. So get one of those and a wedge of some sort and you're set. It'll work. It may actually help you most with the downswing - you really want to feel the right foot banking inward there - but as you said if you sway that's the first problem to tackle.

I've seen people do this with a rolled up towel or just a well placed golf ball. It might not be as fancy, but it seems to get the job done.

    • I have had the flu recently which gave me plenty of time to pore over Joseph Mayo’s instagram. I have hit a ton of shots each day on carpet and a little started how easy this shot is to make. Key thought for me is bring the club “no closer to the earth.” That really resonated with me. If I really steepen the attack angle I can hit my 58* lob wedge barely an inch or two off the ground and a repeatable distance. I don’t recommend this but tried it to what the end ranges are for angle of descent. I actually think a 62*-64* wedge might be even better for this shot.
