Suggestions on courses in Palm Desert (or near)

I'll be spending a week in mid August, I can't wait!! Last year, at the same time, I was lucky enough to hit a "cold" week, the hottest it got on me was 103.

Anyway, I only had a chance to play three courses:

Desert Willow - Firecliff
Shadow Ridge
Desert Springs

I'll definitely be playing Desert Willow again, but besides that, what courses do you all suggest I play? (I will likely play Desert Springs since I'm playing there, but that was the least favorite of the three. I think I'll hit Shadow Ridge again too, but I depending on what else tempts me).

Desert Willow (Firecliff) is one of the better courses in the area. I thought Shadow Ridge was an average resort course...not worth their high green fees.

Three of my favorite courses in the area are:

La Quinta (Mountain)
Indian Wells (Celebrity)
Desert Dunes

I have played Cimarron and Thaquitz Creek in addition to the courses you listed. Both are good, though Desert Willow is my favorite course in Palm Springs with Desert Springs not too far behind.

Escena in Palm Springs is great. It's a newer Nicklaus course with an old school Palm Springs feel.
