Grip size question

I am in the process of ordering new grips for my clubs.

Please could someone more technical tell me which sizes I need to get them all to play the same width?

I have looked on the net and cant find the details.

Ping G15 Aldila Serrano shaft
MP57 3 - pw Dynamic gold r300
Titleist vokey 52, 56, 60 standard wedge flex

Ok so I have found out that the Exsar shafts are .600 (std)

One question - On the Dynamic Gold website it says grip size is .580 for taper tips and .600 for parallel tip.

Sorry for being dumb but whats the difference please?

Taper tips have a tip size of .355, parallel tips have a tip size of .370. Your Mizunos use taper tips.

You don't have to worry about the shaft tip size when changing grips. Standard Grips have .600 diameter. The .580 diameter will give you extra thickness, between standard and midsize grips.

I changed grips more than ten times already....

Let me put it this way:

can someone clear this up for me, isnt .600 bigger than .580 diameter???? so if you put a .580 grip on a .600 butt size shaft then it will stretch out the grip more making it thinner,,,, right? why are people saying that it will be slightly thicker???

For instance, if your butt diameter is .600 and you get a grip that is for .580, its going to larger than normal so keep that in mind.

what??? why is your grip going to be larger than normal. Wont it be .020 too small for a .600 shaft thus stretching out the grip more and making it thinner, Someone comment, im getting ready to regrip my clubs, lol

You would think so, but no. See, the .580 or .600 is the size of the inside of the grip, not the outside. On the outside, the .600 and .580 sizes are the same, but the .580 as more material to make the opening .02 smaller. If you put this grip, with more material, on a club with a larger butt diameter then it will produce a thicker grip.

According to True Temper all "Dynamic Gold R300" shafts are .600 butt diameter:

I looked quickly and didn't see any True Temper products that had .580 for taper tips and .600 parallel tip. Do you have Dynamic Golds or do you have one of their 20 other versions - SL, HL, Lite, blah blah blah?

If you put a bigger shaft in a smaller grip, the shaft isn't going to give so it pushes the material out and thus makes it thicker. The only real way to "stretch" a grip is to pull it farther down on the shaft. A .580 grip that you don't stretch goes to the same point on a shaft as a .600 shaft... more material, thicker grip.

ahh ic ok. I still find the grip to be a bit harsh on the hands when .580 grip is put on a bigger shaft. The rubber isnt as squishy.

I am beginning to think they might not be standard mizuno shafts because I measured them with calipers and they are just over .6 not like the .58 mizuno state on their website. Maybe an aftermarket switch or when the clubs were built

Yes, if Mizuno didnt state that they are .58

I use .580 on all my clubs as they would set up a hair larger on the .600 shafts and IMO are the standard for a lot of clubmakers and players.
