It will vary from company to company. You'll usually see a sale on a particular model when they put out something new to "replace" it. What irons are you interested in?

I was actually looking at either the nike machspeed irons or the cobra s2. Although I currently have some mizuno mx-23 which apparently are really good.:) just not "mine" I inherited them

I'd say the best deals are around the middle of fall before christmas. There are always good deals if you look around and know what you want.

Cobra, Callaway, Nike, Wilson Staff & Taylormade usually introduce new clubs at the PGA Golf show in Orlando at the end of January.

Manufacture of wider, U-shape grooves ends this year. Any chance the club makers will hold the line on prices of remaining wider-groove irons?
