SO... I got asked to play in kind of an exhibition match against one of Japans young future rising stars. She is 14 years old and we played in a 4 Ball match with 3 separate matches going on at once. Me and my friend played her and her coach a 1 ball match and me and my friend played her in individual matches... We both beat her 4&3 but I tell you what, she could hit the ball but what I was most impressed with was her putting. She was a very good putter! We are good friends with her coach and mentor and he wanted her to play with a couple of grizzled veterans to help teach her about tenacity...

I played a very vanilla round, I had 15 pars 2 bogeys and 1 birdie. I think she got a little frustrated because me and my partner were just hitting fairways and greens and 2 putting. A good lesson for her!!! I really enjoyed it though...

And oh by the way, she was playing from the tips, 6735 yards and she was hitting it around 270... SHe is only 14...lol

Wow, nice.

How did she play then? Sticking it to the flag on some shots and then missing the green and scrambling on other shots?
I'm trying to play less aggressive now, there's no point going for the pin when all you have to do is hit the green and 2 putt for a par. (Hard to do when on the course though).

So does she play off the reds or the tips normally?

She started going birdie birdie hitting the 2nd hole, a par 5 in 2! She hit her second shot to about 20 feet, I was laughing because she hit a 4 wood to 20 feet and I hit my 6 iron to about 30 feet... Silly...

It was a very fun round, I could tell though that she was use to hitting it past a lot of people but my buddie and I are a little long of the tee... I purposely hit a 3 wood off the T once on a par 4 that is 420 and hit it past her just to let her know that she is still on the low end of the food chain when it comes to distance...lol

She had a great ball flight, I thought it was a little to high not not boring enough but that is just my perception...

pretty cool story. I played with a guy from canada and a guy who was from japan who was supposedly a pro hockey player.
