Very excited! The round started with an errant tee shot, but I recovered with a one putt. It took me a couple of holes to straighten the driver out, then everything just when right. Smooth and easy. Fairways hit, greens in regulation, good chipping and four or five up and downs. I even had a chip in. Lots of pars and no birdies.

I started playing a year and one month ago. Not bad for a 50 year old guy. I've spent a lot of time working on my S&T swing and even more time on chipping and putting (Utley books and Mickelson DVD).

Thanks for the many great tips from this site. Of course now I will expect this all the time.

Wow! Congratulations. I'm very jealous. I've been playing for several years and haven't hit that mark. It sounds like you'll be breaking 80 before long.

Well done that man! Hard (and smart) work pays off.
