Second - My original post was not about legitimate criticism of his two minute tip, which is fine, but the use of degrading commentary (asinine, douche bag, head case, sickening) about the instructor, solely because they disagree with what he is teaching.

I agree with this and parts of your first post. There's no reason to degrade or make fun of the guy. Well, the second guy, anyway.

That said, there's a difference between "that's a stupid idea" is not the same as "that guy is stupid." I also don't think that we have TOO many threads on here that are simply negative without discussing WHY someone disagrees with that swing. But yes, everyone here can listen and benefit. We have new people coming here all the time and some of the things we might know or understand they won't know. Take the time to explain your thoughts (or link to an existing thread which contains them). I'm okay with bashing ideas (Harmonious may not be), but not the people who share 'em. Again, there's a difference between "that's stupid" and "he's stupid."

Thanks, Erik. That's all I was trying to say. People can disagree without being disagreeable.

Ask him for a refund?

I have one lesson left in a series of 5 and although I think his wanting me to 'release' the club because it fits some video of Angel Cabrera (close to my body type and swing length), doesn't convince me it's the right way to square the club face (along with stuff I've been reading and watching on this forum). However, I don't think I'll ask for a refund. He has gotten my posture and alignment way better and helped me with keeping my upper body from sliding forward as much on the downswing. Although, I think I made more progress on this note myself last week when I finally figured out that if I focus on 'sliding' my left hip forward it kept my upper body from going towards the target and kept me centered over the ball (aka S&T;, I think?). In any event, I finally shot an 'easy' 78 with one birdie and very little stress this last weekend with that one swing thought.
