Anyone plays here? What do you guys think as bout this course, Pete dye designed. Comparalble to some ccs?

I played it last fall. It's a typical Dye design, lots of pot bunkers and mounding especially around the greens. It was in decent shape, not great. As the name implies, it runs adjacent to the New River on many holes so offline tee shots are dead. Also, a few of the greens back up to the river and have zero room if you go long...immediate hazard off the putting surface basically. I also had a few spots where the yardage marked on the sprinkler heads was definitely off (not just me, two foursomes agreed) so I'd go more by the card and feel for shots into the green. Otherwise, nice layout that's pretty fair by Dye standards.

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.

      Day 6  (26 Jun 26) - Played 18 today in the Friday men's group shootout.  Would love to say it was an awesome round, but it wasn't  - had a tough day with the putter (especially on the front - short putts missing left or right or just short - just could not get a feel for the greens).
