I find myself taking divots that start out normal but become thicker towards the end, producing lost clubhead speed and I can't complete my finish. The problem is progressively worse as the iron gets shorter. Ive been told I tend to dip down in my swing a bit on the downswing, possibly the cause.

I also find myself taking nasty divots on teed up iron shots as well. I tee up the ball just above grass level on irons, but I figure there should be less divot on those teed up shots?

Any tips or drills I could try to clean up these divots? Seems like I need to shallow out my angle of attack maybe?

Thanks
