Better than a Sharpie?

I just use a Sharpie. For me the black marks take a few rounds to totally wear off, they usually just fade to a light purple.

I marked a batch last night, so I guess I'll see if they hold up better after two days of cure time. I doubt it will help. The marks seem to come off due to impact with my clubs. I've seen orange on all my club faces since I started marking the balls. No big deal, I'll just have to remark during the round or switch balls. Superstitions be DAMNED!!!

Try marking it a day or two before you use the ball.

I use 2 blue dots on my balls with sharpies. 1 above the logo, 1 below the logo. I play Bridgestone e6 except for on par 3's I usually pull out the Nike PD Soft Feel. My blue dots last a whole round but will fade or get wiped over other portions of the ball if that's where the clubface strikes it. I don't usually remark them. I've gotten much better this year with my game so I don't really lose balls anymore, on average maybe 1 or 2 per round at the most. So usually I cycle 3 or 4 balls during the round. But I always start off a round with a brand new ball that's never been hit. If it gets scuffed, that's why I use it for chipping in the backyard or hitting it into the lake I live on. It's nice having a 100 yard field in your backyard with another 50 plus yards of water behind it. There's a nice patch of grass in my backyard that I always maintain for hitting balls off of. Crap balls go into the lake, lol.

I also change my ball out whenever it gets dirty. Then usually at a hole where I have some extra seconds I'll throw 3 or 4 balls in the ball washer at the tee and put them back into service. But usually I don't like to take the time to do that especially if I'm playing well. Whenever I'm playing with anyone I'm usually the first one on the tee with their ball already set to go.

I play Bridgestone Tour B330's and mark them with a red, white, & blue pattern outlined with black.
