When things are going bad...

...avoid the booze! I rarely drink on the course, but yesterday I did. I had a quad on the first hole in which every possible thing that could go wrong did go wrong. Opened a beer on the 2nd tee. One of the guys was passing a flask around on the 3rd and of course I took a pull or two. Threw up a tidy 59 on the front. By 18 I was over 110. I wound up not finishing the hole, picked it up out of the bunker.

It was rather humiliating as I was meeting some of the guys for the first time. It'll be awhile before I have more than a beer or 2 on the course. I wasn't jackass drunk or anything. Just tipsy enough to not be able to hit a golf ball.

yes booze make me worse at golf as well, and I'm sure most would also agree. The guys that say it helps them play better are just alcoholics in denial haha...
