New Issue *Not Loading*

So after a full round of irons being almost a full club length short, I was told I'm hitting short because I'm not loading over my right knee (I'm right handed). Always used to try to get my left shoulder over my right knee. Swinging with 100% arms can only get your so far in a round before you tire and breakdown.

Other then the obvious mirror, any other drills anyone has would be great.

Answer this question for everyone here: why would you want to do that? How much do you want your head to slide off the ball, anyway?

As a mostly stack and tilt forum you're gonna just be told not to load your right side at all, especially with irons. From my experience, I agree.

Who told you this? Was it someone qualified to give swing advice?

I'm not a S&T; junkie by any means, but I don't think that intentional "loading" over the right side has much to do with distance. Getting your weight forward through the shot onto your left side does, however.

You'll have a hard time finding many PGA Tour pros who really "turn into their right side" and translate off the ball. It's not just an S&T; thing. Curtis Strange is one of the last guys to really move well off the ball, and the best golfers have been moving towards a more centered turn for several decades now.

So yes, while it's part of S&T;, it's part of a lot of swings taught by guys who (correctly or incorrectly) have little good to say about S&T.;
