Anyone have experience with this driver? I'm searching for a driver to replace a Nike SQ2 that I played for 2 years. In mid summer something happened and it seemed to die, the face sounded flat, and I wasn't getting any feedback in my hands. So I got rid of it and I've been swapping drivers left and right. I've had the VR tour, VR str8 fit, and a Cleveland Hi-bore and it just isn't working out.

I used a launch moniter and the Superfast was the longest one for me. My swing speed varies between 102 and 105, I had a faster swing but with all these changes I've made I have slowed down some. I'm just tired of driver swapping and I want to find something long and forgiving. Any suggestions?

Driver - VR str8 fit
3 wood - Burner 09
3 hybrid - Burner hybrid
Irons - VR split cavity S300 shaft

Superfast is a decent stick. I play the 09 burner and find it to be extremely long and forgiving. A buddy has about the same swing speed as you and he plays the R9. He hit both on the monitor and the R9 waaaay outperformed the superfast.

I havent tried the R9.. I'll have to use it on the moniter the next chance I get.

I never liked the superfast.
I prefer a heavier driver that I can control more.
I don't see the point with less accuracy and more distance off the tee when I'm not that accurate anyway.

what's wrong with the VR?

I don't think a new driver is going to make much of a difference.

I don't like the removable head, the sound it makes, there isn't any feel in my hands for where the impact was on the face. It doesn't seem to react well to my swing. I have tried it at the range for hours, and I'm not getting near the distance I was getting, or the control I was getting with the SQ2.

But you may be right. I'm taking a lesson on friday and we'll see how that goes. Appreciate your imput.

I have compared it directly with the 07 Burner, R9, and G15 with nothing coming close to the ball speed and distance that the Superfast has. It is amazing how fast the ball comes off of the face on this driver.

I have one currently and love it but I'm looking to get an R9 because I like it even more. I love the sound of a crisp shot off the SF. If you are interested I am looking to sell mine to cut down on the R9 cost. Let me know.

Agreed. Ball speed and carry were ~ 4.0% higher with the Superfast & Superfast TP over my current driver. Adding 6 mph and 12 yards didn't seem to negatively effect my misses dramatically either.

      Day 8 (28 Jun 26) - Worked with face position at address and overall setup - open/neutral/closed - and setting up for resulting shot shapes - using 8i and hard foam balls.  It was abbreviated as the thunder began to rumble. Got in about 20 swings before calling it.

      Tale of two swings.  Swing 1: Slightly outside takeaway (hands move outside of target line) only to allow trail elbow over collapsing at P4. Doesn't take much to overdo it for the trail elbow collapse to only further exaggerate. That's death. Swing 2: Hands stay slight in at takeaway for a much better trail elbow condition at P4. This is a hard sell from an instinct perspective. More focus on un-weighting and re-weighting of lead foot to unlock a bit more mobility of hips and torso. A major flaw that creeps up often is me swinging flat footed and becoming overly armsy-collapsy as a result. Got reminded of this the hard way during my 2nd round match for club net championship. Was cruising along 2up until I made the turn. Then lost the swing for next five holes. Andy was playing good enough to capitalize. By the time I regained my swing on 16th, it was too late. Even Andy was like "That was a gift". Obviously that stings because have played well enough lately. Should have closed him out of the game comfortably with a few holes to spare. Shoulda woulda coulda. Tough lesson. Damn. P.S. I know the swings look very similar but trust me there is a difference.
