Fujikura Motore stiff 65

I recently bought an R9 460 with a Fujikura Motore shaft. I thought the shaft would help me keep the ball lower off the tee. Unfortunately it hasn't and with my swing, i'm not sure it's possible! I tried the prolaunch red and that didn't help either! Does anyone have suggestion?

It may not be the shaft, too. Before you begin trading shafts out, I'd post a video here or ask a local teaching pro for his input. How high are you hitting it? Do you have an launch monitor numbers to work with?


It's very possible that your ball flight is a result of impact position.

Thanks, there's a good chance i am playing the ball too far forward in my stance!

yeah i don't think its the shaft. the Prolaunch Red is just about one of the lowest launching shafts out there.

Just out of curiosity though, are your shots ballooning or just getting up too high? If its getting up too high with the PL Red, it could be your swing and not the shaft. Typically, if you play a shaft that has a low kickpoint with a high swing speed, you end up with a ballooning trajectory which is what you want to avoid. But if its just launching high and round, then its most likely your swing.
