A few years back a friend of mine and I were sitting in the fairway waiting for a group to get off the green and the previous fairway, with no trees blocking the view of us from the previous tee box, two guys teed off and one hooked massively and there was no fore yell or anything and we were sitting talking when the ball hit our cart coming towards my face (i was driving) and hit the black metal beam going from the dash to the roof of the cart. Literally it was an act of God i didn't eat that ball or knock my eye out literally. I didn't see/hear anything until the ball "pinged" off the beam and I almost crapped myself. He obviously knew he did it because he just stared at my friend and I like he was afraid to come over. So as they were putting their clubs away I got out my driver and turned 90 degrees and drove it in the woods. They knew they hit our cart because they drove straight for us sitting there once they left the tee box. The driver rolls up laughing and asks if I saw a Titleist around here. I told him its really deep in the woods and he looked at me confused and said he thought he hit my cart and I said he did and pointed out the dent and drove off. My friend looked back as the guy put 2 and 2 together of how it hit my cart and is now deep in the woods.

I've had this a few times mainly from playing on a very overcrowded course where the main concern is getting bodies through the gates. Most of the players are just there for the odd game and are not regulars so they underestimate the distance when they manage to get a decent shot in. I get angry and they looked chuffed cos they're on the green, to be fair they have all apologised so far.
