Has anyone ever played a course with aerated greens or just a course with horrid greens that scrwed up your putting in the next round on a decent course? I think it happened to me this week.... Before the bad greens I would 3 putt once in 30 holes(i chip well)

yesteday I 4 putted! and 3 putted like 5 times.

It happens. I rarely 3-putt myself, but I too have had rounds where I jacked up bad enough for 3 or 4 3-putts. I don't remember the last time I 4-putted though, despite my user name.

Is that due to Your age...?

That actually happens every spring/fall and it pisses me off every time! However, last 2 weeks I played extremely well concidering aerated greens: 76, 74, 73, 72. On the last round I birdied last three holes and sank a 7-meter downhill putt from the fore on the final hole

Ha this reminds me of when I was in holidays in Spain and their was a putt-putt course with plastic balls next to my apartment, after 2 weeks of using a plastic putter with plastic balls I will never forget playin a round when I came back lol the first 3 greens I hit three 7 footers straight off the green!!

I suppose it's always possible.

I'm normally a pretty good long putter, so my bad misses usually don't leave more than 5 or 6 feet. If I can't do better than 3 putts from 6 feet, then it just might cause some sort of psycological amnesia. But I'll drain the 6 footer almost as often as I will 2 putt from there. And since I started using my current putter (3 years now), I don't think I've ever 3 putted from 6 feet.
