KBS Tour Regular 110g

yea the s300's were too stiff for me. My 5 iron SS is 80 mph, look at the chart a few posts above that kbs has on their site for my swingspeed. Its right at regular

also if my ss increases from the lighter weight, it will most likely be 2-3mph faster. If I really wanted to I could hardstep the regular shafts which would increase the flex by 1/3, probably wouldnt be nessacary tho

I'm sure what I say doesn't hold much against the site but I think the KBS Tour Regular is fit for 70-80, Stiff for 80-90, and X-Stiff for 90-100. With the KBS shafts I think erring on the stiffer end is the right choice. Anyways with all that said, good luck and hope you have found the right shafts.

thats probably about right. The site says 80mph for your 5 iron, you usually go down about 2 mph per club that you go up. So if 5 iron SS is 80 then 6 would be 78, 7 at 76, etc. I also tried the KBS 90 Regular shafts in some R9 irons at dicks sporting goods, those are softer than the Regular tours and they werent flippy at all.

    • Day 5:  Oops, I missed practice on Mother's Day. But today I got a pile of mirror work done. Tomorrow will be a range day and then City League on Wednesday.
    • I had another interesting ruling last week, in a pro "junior/senior fourball" event.  Near one of the greens was a drain, with the actual grate set maybe 3 or 4 inches below the ground surface.  It wasn't in a depressed area, basically just a straight-sided hole, with the surrounding ground pretty level.  A Player's ball was in some longer grass adjacent to the grate, maybe even overhanging a bit, to the "side" of the drain, so the path of his swing was "tangent" to the circular grate.  The ball was at ground level, so 3 or 4 inches above the metal grate itself.   As I saw it, there was no way at all that the actual Obstruction would impact any reasonable swing path, so I denied relief.  I did talk it over with another official, who said he would probably have allowed the relief, but agreed that it was a borderline call.
    • Here is where we're at so far.  (3) more spots left for Saturday, and (2) Sunday.  Again, if there are more folks interested in both days, we'll give preference to them.
