I have not been hitting my driver dead center where I am usually hitting it and the ball has been straight or a slight push then cuts a good 15 yards and I am not liking that either.

I am not sure how to correct this.. I am not wanting to hit the heel every other time I tee it up.

Try slightly increasing your flexion (spine tilt) toward the ball at P-1 (address). Sometimes if you get a little too vertical, you will move the spine toward the ball during the swing...more spine tilt will allow the left arm to stay inside longer

One of the videos posted for the TGC instructor search referred to this. He suggested a couple changes in the setup to compensate for this natural tendency. Basically, if you like to set the clubhead on the ground at address, line ball up with the toe, rather than the centre of the face. Alternatively (preferably) hover the club slightly above the ground at address. I do the latter at address and it really works.
