Another day, another large bucket. I have been focusing on 2-3 S&T; fundamentals each session, and hitting it pretty solid overall. Yesterday, I hit the ball OK, but wasn't getting that super-flush feeling off the clubface. Today I went back to Step 1 (weight forward) and sure enough that pure contact returned. If anything, I was getting a bit too much draw on my shots, but that is kind of exciting for a guy who was push-fading 8-irons a few weeks ago.

I am going to try to avoid adding too many components, as I think that contributed to a mediocre session yesterday. I seem to do better just focusing on weight forward , arms connected to torso , and hands in . I am sort of anxious to embrace the whole S&T; pattern, but maybe less is more for the time being.

Yesterday, an instructor who works at the range (and whom I chat with on occasion) said, "It looks like you have too much weight on your left side. You're not doing that S&T; are you?" I said, "Yes, I am actually, and I'm doing OK with it thanks." Nice enough guy, but I have seen him teach alot and his students leave utterly confused and frustrated most of the time. He has had a guy I know hitting pitch shots (and nothing else) for 2 years. Maybe it works, but I just don't have the discipline for that.

Sounds like things are going pretty well for you. I think the results speak for themselves in S & T. I have never read any other book and instantly started finding the sweet spot more than ever. My favorite thing is I can actually make the move. releasing the hips makes it so much easier to turn. Most do not have the physical ability to make a traditional turn without standing up.

Best of luck and lots of birdies.

Thanks Lg, agree with everything you said. I have always had trouble getting enough hip/shoulder turn, so S&T; feels easier. My swing is probably not 100% S&T; at this point (I still have some head movement with my driver swing) but I'm getting good results with a few Basic Form fundamentals. Just psyched to have several consecutive range sessions with the same swing keys working, you know? That has never happened for me.
