New Instructor

Well i dont think anyone will read this or care for that matter but im getting a new instructor. First lesson is tomorrow. The guy i had been goin to was good but he taught an incredible flat swing, which was only good for a draw(see matt kuchar ). Seeing how i want to make it to the PGA tour one day, i think ill be better off if i have a swing that can hit a draw, fade, high, low, etc.... So i am very excited about this, and working hard at it. Hopefully it pays off and ill be able to win a few tournaments soon. Another plus of this guy is that he teaches the short game and putting, which my old instructor didnt. So not like anyone will read this or care but....it was a good way to kill 5 minutes!!! Ill post an update of how it went tomorrow or smthing lik that....

Flat swings don't necessarily mean "draw."

And 95% of the time on the PGA Tour, they play roughly one stock shot. That's not to say having a variety is bad - just that you can play events and do really well while hitting a mid-height draw.

Combine that with the mis-truth or myth about a flat swing and, well... it may be worth re-thinking things. Not to say you need or don't need a new instructor, just that your reasoning may need some further self examination.
