The Chicago Frugal Golfer blog is very much a grass roots effort. And I would love to be able to one day use this blog to negotiate specials for subscribers of the blog. Alas, at this point in time we are several thousand subscribers away from that being a possibility. That being said at this point in time all I can do is hope to organize and pot what I feel are the best possible deals for Chicago area golf courses.

So today's blog is about a deal that I am happy to say that the Cook county forest preserve has extended. If you tee off between 12-2 Monday through Thursday you pay $25 to play 18 holes with a cart. This is an excellent deal for those that don't have weekday obligations. I have taken advantage of this deal once already and feel that Highland woods is an excellent course and at $25 for 18 holes it is an absolute steal. The course has 4 sets of tees and plays between 6934 yards all the way down to 5831 yards.

As always if you find a deal that you feel is Chicago Frugal golfer worthy, please post a comment or send me a message here at the sand trap. Also, please spread the word about this blog. The more people that read it, the more likely we all our to catch and take advantage of the excellent deals that exist for those that know how to find them.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Here's frugal!  Try the new Pointfive Hybrid Golf Ball developed for Quick, Low Cost & Less Frustrating golf on shorter golf facilities.  Make the game much more enjoyable & the ball floats.
