Playing 18 on Wednesday....

After the crap I had on Saturday (see the "Idiots on my course" forum post) I will be playing the same course on Wednesday afternoon in my first ever comp.
Probably not the best timing after the way I was driving on Saturday and the head f**k caused by the argument with the idiots behind, but I figured what the heck and I am gonna try and turn a bad thing into a good thing.
Hopefully I will get my game back and shoot somewhere around the 88 I did last Wednesday so wish me luck.

I will update on how I get on Thursday morning.

Well I played my first comp and it went OK, totally different course of the Championship Tee's (whites in UK) my driving was off the front 9 but I have narrowed down my high and left lob wedge type drives, needed to lower the tee height as I was catching it off the top of the face (no sky marks thank god)

So shot 95 but it was stableford and only got 25 points as my club handicap is 13.4 (long story short but they got that from my 3 qualifying cards as lowest score of 3 was 86 so they knock 3 shots off) no way I am 13 anyway, my score tracker has me at 17.2 but the club one will soon go up unless I start shooting like a 13.

Just one of those days where I felt I played well but just did not score well, due to a mixture of bad drives on front 9 and a few bad puts.

Hey ho can't wait for Sat now, hope it stays dry as I played in shorts today

Did not play on Sat after as it was raining heavy, had a good range session though instead, really working on alignment and completing my swing which has helped big time with longer irons and stopping me blocking them right.

No golf this weekend as I am off to the Welsh Open @ The Celtic Manor (get free passes as a member, not for the Ryder Cup though) lets hope the weather stays good so I can enjoy seeing some top golfers play
