Just played my last round on Monday, 40° F with 10-15 mph winds with a light drizzle. The cold front kicked in that night with snow coming down. Was at a heated range and could barely feel my fingers that evening. The outlook for the foreseeable future is quite cold and doesn't look like I will be able to get out on the course. This is a big downer since this was the first year I went this deep into the season and am playing very well. :-(

I know what you mean. I felt I was starting to learn how to hit a golf ball solidly and actually control it a bit toward the end of the season, then the snow started falling. Cold doesn't keep me from the course, but it's tough to find your ball in the snow. The challenge for me will be to continue working on things during the winter and hopefully next season won't have to completely start over. I envy the So. Cal, AZ and FL. golfers very much about this time of year.

Normally this is when I reply with a "yeah it is great living in Georgia" but we have been frozen for most of this month. Between my travel schedule for work and this weather I have not played a single round this month. I am optimistic that this streak will end tomorrow as we are expecting 50 degree weather and sunny.

When I lived in New York I had a regular foursome that would start our year playing on Good Friday and then we would play every Sunday and end our season on Black Friday (we did not care about shopping). One year that saw us playing as snow was falling. It was us and one other group of idiots/diehards on the course. Now I am spoiled and I will only play if it is above 45 degrees.

Living in Fl is nice, as it was about 47* last night at the range. Ill get out there and play in the 30's as long as its not windy. To be honest with you, this past weekend was cold windy and rainy so it hasnt been the most enjoyable December. With that being said, its going to be in the low 70's on Friday when I'm golfing in Tampa.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
