Nice, I am jealous!! I won't be back down there until at least April, maybe June.

I just played the TPC in October, it is just ridiculous. IMO, the closest I have ever been to playing a PRO's course with the possible exception of Mystic Rock in PA.

Love Kings North, too... one of my all-time fav's down there.

Have an awesome time! Never played Caledonia, would like to hear about it!

Those are all nice courses. I've played thenm each several times. Caledonia and True Blue are two of my favorite MB courses. Willbrook and Prestwick are two very intersting courses that are under appreciated. I like them a lot. Here are links to photos of those courses that may help get you psyched for the trip. Some of these are from winter trips. It will be  greener in April

We play Caledonia every year...twice! it is a great golf course, fair but difficult. it is an expensive course and still one of the busiest courses in MB (140.00). Last year our first round there i shot a 79 from the tips...the next day i shot a 95 from the tips LOL. I hade a tin cup momment on #8 shortish par 5 dog leg right. Fairly large stream crosses right in front of the green...4 trys later i got that SOB over it!!!!

True Blue has lightening fast greens every year, i actually hated the course the first time i played it but it has grown on me. not a favorite but i do like it now.

Kings North would be awesome if they had the greens faster then you neighborhood muni. The course itself is very nice.

I haven't played the TPC in 10 years but the layout from my memory is nice. I was told it is in fantastic condition.

Glad to hear good things on Prestwick and Willbrook, both were added as blind references. Every year I try and add one or two new courses to our play list.

Next will be time to return to tidewater and some northern courses.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
