So i can't wait to golf cuz now over the off season ive fixed 2 of the things i had been working on with my swing.  the main thing was really just to take pressure off of my back, but had some things to work on to accomidate for that.

1) I quit lunging my hips forward.  This had really hurt my back in the past...which happens to be pretty damn finnicky anyways.  i had been trying to fix this for most of last season but just could not find a way to make it feel natural.  but now i can get them to turn correctly cuz one day i just had the feeling of my left hip turning and getting out of the way.  i used to be able to do it on the first hole or 2 and hit the ball very well...but then i would go back to lunging...which would mean loosing it to the right every once and a while, even tho i am a right to left player..or i would throw in a snap hook.   and that makes it hard to put together a good 18 holes.  but now every time i pick up a club and swing i just have the right feeling and now turn naturally.

part of what caused that lunging was a bit of a sway in the backswing that i was fighting from my old swing.  so i took a basic tip that is something that i had heard foley talk about and i am trying not to move my head in my backswing,  i had been looking for a way to quit swaying but i was only fighting what was natural, but now if i keep my head still i dont sway or lunge.

2)  I found that i was not tucking my right elbow...just had it flying out.  i think that added quite a bit of tension in my backswing...and again that tension doesnt feel good in my back.  in the past i didnt think much of this cuz i thought it just happened because i keep a pretty shut clubface in my backswing, but i was messing with it and now my swing feels a lot better.

In both instances i had just found the right feeling all of a sudden and i had taken basic fundamental type of things that you hear all the time but dont thing too much about.

dont really know where im going with this....just feel like putting it to use.

Anybody else working on any changes?  trying to take pressure off of your back?

best thing i have found is to slow down the swing and of course it helps with contact too.
