What non-conventional styles that pros use bother you? Left hand low, claw, belly, long, wide stance like Kenny Perry, KJ Choi or Gary McCord sidesaddle, Natalie Gulbis Hammy style. All of them or just some of them? Or are long shafts the only thing that bother you and not different grips with a shorter putter.  If it's just the long shafts is it that they are anchored eitheir in the belly or under the chin? With sidesaddle and hammy no part of the shaft is anchored to the body.    Do you all think that non-conventional putting styles will continue to increase in the coming years?

Personally I couldn't tell you what "hammy" is, but the claw, putting one handed, left hand low, and anything like that is something to bridge a gap between one bout of the yips and the next. Other than a few guys (Langer, Wadkins, Couples, and Calc), I can't think of too many guys who can putt like garbage one week then win the next. People with odd setups and mechanics might be good putters for a short time, but it usually passes. The guy currently using the juinio putter is another example. To the casual golf fan, he came out of nowhere, and soon enough he won't be missed.

Regarding McCord and Choi, I avoid them like the plague. McCord because he's creepy and Choi because I couldn't care less what irons he has in the bag, and hearing that we must give up our current irons and move into something like a G15 is nauseating.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
