I've toyed with the idea of getting one for awile...
It will deaden the feel of vibrations of mis-hits... One camp of people think vibration is feel, the other camp feel with the vibrations filtered out they actually get more feel...
Here are the key decision points for you:
  1. The carbon fiber is what filters out the vibrations. Since the carbon is lighter than steel the swing weight of the club will go up. (Your putter head will feel more like a ball on a string). This was was a deal killer for me as my putter head weight 370 grams.
  2. What kind of feel do you have with your putter already? If you have deep milling, an insert, or face milling you might already have a soft feel. The UST would be over kill and you'd have a pretty dead feel. If you have a putter that is a little too "tinny" or harsh then this could be the thing for you!

So what would be the shaft to get?

Are you planning on putting it in your White Ice Rossie? Unless you have the 35 inch putter your head weight is 355, so you should be able to get away with the swing weight.

Most insert putters have a "muted" feel. With that shaft you're going to get a muted feel with with no vibrations... The guys that seem to like that shaft are running metal faced putters... My guess is it would make a White Ice putter too mushy.

Oh, that will be pretty sweet then. I'd definitely give that a shot. Keep me in the loop, I'd like to hear how it goes. Are you going to put it in yourself?

I've tried them and have owned one in an Edel Putter for 2 years. It's a different feel - a more direct, precise feel -  and it's easier to feel when you strike the ball off the sweet spot. It does take a day or two to grow accustomed to the feel.
