need new sand and gap wedge.   anyone have any wedges they particularly like?

I have always played vokey, but thinking about Cleveland or Scratch or Callaway

What's in the bag:

Driver: Adams 9064LS (project RIP Shaft) 9.5 degree
3 Wood: Titleist 909R 14.5 degree
Hybrid 3-iron: 19 degree Tour Professional (bent to 18 degrees)Hybrid 4-iron: 21 degree Tour ProfessionalIrons: Tour X-20 5-PW Project X 6.0 shaftsGap Wedge: Mizuno MP10 52.08 Sand Wedge: Mizuno MP10 58.10 Lob Wedge: Nike 62.06

I've always liked Mizuno-T, Nike, Callaway, and Titleist wedges for nothing more than they have a square face. I can't stand the look of a rounded leading edge. I prefer Mizuno, Callaway and Nike because they are forged. For most shots you can't tell the difference between a cast and forged club, but I like to play a lot shots back in the stance and like the feel of forged. Mizuno and Callaway will give you a lot more choices in the sole grinds than Nike does.

I have two Callaway vintages now that have rusted beautifully. The 54 is a regular grind and the 60 is a C-grind. If I could do it over I'd go with a 52 and 58, both with C-grinds.

I've used a few different brands, including, but not limited to, Vokey, Callaway, and Cleveland.  My preferred right now is Cleveland CG15.  It just seems to feel more comfortable for me.   Cant really say why.  I retired my Vokey 56° after picking up the 56° CG15 late last summer.  I still have a Vokey 54° which I use exclusively for bunker shots, and my 51° GW is part of my set of Titleist AP-2 irons.

    • That’s a 19th hole story that would be recounted for many, many moons to come for sure…..
    • I know. I was just kidding. BTW - I'd take the second place with the meltdown. It would at least make a good story.
    • That answers my question.  That feels more natural to me. I'll work on that. Thanks
    • Complex question. Good players begin pushing forward around P2. Visibly around P3. They're well on their way forward at P4.
    • Still plugging away with the teacher.  I do have a question after working on some drills last night. This is something I should know already but for some reason, I have gotten myself confused. It deals with weight transfer on the downswing. At what point, should that take place?  Should it be early (prior to reaching A4) ?  I ask because in one of my drills  I get to A4, I feel the weight transfer AS my arms drop, and then go.  Now this may be totally normal, but I "feel" like this gets me in a weird timing position and causes me to try and do too much at once.
