I have been using one for about an year.. It has helped me get rid of my slice but more importantly improve the tempo which is helping me hit the driver a lot better... Nowadays it is the only one that i use instead of a driver when i practice in the indoor range...

The only thing I don't like about the medicus is during the takaway you can roll your wrist and it won't break. It is great for the other movements in the swing but not to great for the takaway.

I saw an infomercial about this driver the other day.

Im really not into any of the training crap out there at all, but I wondered what you guys think about this one.

I own the 5 iron version and I'm skeptical about how effective it is for maintaining a proper swing plane. I can still go over the top and not break the hinge. What I do find useful is the hinge only allows me to take a smooth takeaway. I tend to get quick taking the club back (especially under pressure) and this device has helped that. I pick it up a few times a week and only for a few minutes at a time but that's enough to emphasize the smooth takeaway. For me it does translate out on the course as I notice I am getting a little quick I will remind myself that it's just like the medicus. So in that sense it works for me but as stated before I'm not sold on the other supposed benefits.

Anyone have any experience with the Medicus Driver? Thinking about getting it but not sure how effective it is. Is it worth the money? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
