I know it's bad, but how do i fix it?

My misses are slice, pull (driver) or fat (with irons).

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. when I say Good in the video it means Good for me =)

Hi ASU,

If your most common misses are pulls and topped shots, then you have to improve a couple of your skills.   Your ability to have a good swing path would affect pulls, and your impact position affects how solidly you hit the ball.  Based on your videos, your swing path looks pretty good, I'd first try to work on your impact position, then on your swing path.

This video talks about impact position:

You should also take a look at Charlie Kings golf blog, he has a bunch of great info.

Thanks for tips and drill mike.

But I have a few questions. What makes my impact position bad?

Is my weight not forward enough, or any body part (hips, hands, shoulders) not in the right spot?

I try to think (maybe too) technically about things and would like some feedback on positioning of things.

I'll definitley try out your drill and see how it works.

Man only one post for help, I thought all the swing gurus would love to tear apart my high handicap swing.

Any other thoughts?

Mate you actually have a decent swing, I would just say work on your flying wedge, which is basically a term that means keeping your right wrist cupped at impact and allows you to hit the ball with your hands in front of the ball at impact. This gives you better contact, which will help you to stop hitting fat shots. You can probably notice you lose a lot of lag in the down swing which is causing the problem. The other thing would be to get your weight more forward at impact. check out swings of charlie wi, he is a good example of weight forward and hands ahead at impact.

I think you should work on these two things and progress instead of trying to do numerous things at once and not doing half of them right.

try keeping your left heel on the ground during your back swing. i had the same problem and it was super hard to keep it planted, but once i got the hang of it, it eliminated a lot of my bad shots.
