I think electric carts are the way to go as well. I do not really care about the custom designs, but give me better functionality. I would like comfortable seats and backs. A sensor that stops the cart if your foot is out. Make the back of these where the club storage is wider and deeper. Anyone who has tried to put two of the Bag Boy revolving bags would know how much that is needed. Cellphone storage is a great idea. I am trying to campaign for our club to put golf ball and golf club cleaners on every cart. Our carts have protection for your clubs in the rain but they do not have cleaners. That does not make any sense to me.

get rid of the back up beeper! my friends still find it hilarious to put the cart in reverse right in the middle of my back swing!

Keep it where the mowers go!

Put a lot of thought into the bag area. Loading the bags, access to all the bag pockets, access to clubs and better rain protection are all areas that need improvement. Maybe when the cart is not moving the bags automatically tilt outward for better access to the clubs.

Other things have already been mentioned – trash handling, built in ball/club washer, drainage, suspension, smoother acceleration. How about a web type seat that will stay dryer when it rains? (Like many of today's office chairs.) I much prefer electric carts over gas.

You may want to talk to a few course superintendents. They may have a totally different slant on what would make a great cart.

Is this an industrial design course project?
