I recently bought a used set of G15's with the stock awt reg flex.

I was recently at golf galaxy and they had my swing a 6 or 7 iron with a swing speed instrument on it, the only number I remember was my club head speed was 99mph. After 3 shots he suggested DG x100, Rifle(forgot model) and KBS Tours.

I'm just looking for advice from fellow g15 owners as I feel a little lost.

Go to a clubmaker that has a launch monitor and have him or her test you. I am leary you were getting 99 mph with a 7 iron, The "experienced" clubmaker will be more beleivable than a clerk at Golf Galaxy. If you don't know a clubmaker in your area-goto Tom Wishon Golf Technolgies web site and click on dealers. Their dealers snow what they are talking about.

Thanks for the response.

I called and the club was a 6iron and I had a 99mph avg for 4 balls. This does sound about right since my driver SS is 115.

I will look into the site you recommended.

Thanks

I would have that double checked because at 99 mph you are really ripping at it. If you are sure it's right than you probably only want to look at x shafts. You also didn't mention about your trajectory that will also have a bearing on what type of shaft you get.

I went again today and got re-tested on the mizuno shaft optimizer, 98mph avg with the 6iron again. It recommended x100 but I was still reluctant to get that stiff of a shaft and went with the s300's instead.

I tested a random 7iron with the s300 in it and fell in love with the weight. My swing speed was 88-92mph, first thing I noticed how tight the dispersion became and a more consistent distance control.
