Came in a regular shaft, and I'm definitely a stiff. What would you do in this situation? Re-sell it or buy a new damn shaft.

I'd resell it.  Once you figure the cost of a new shaft, grip and labor, in addition to the price you paid for the club, you would be better off just buying a new one.

You can find a good shaft for 50 or less so I would probably at least look around to get a final cost. If it is too much I would sell it and find something that suits you better.
