Thought I'd share these pics of some custom stuff Nike did for Michael Jordan.

Notice the prototype number on the sole of the Method - MJ.23

Ha, that is kind cool.

I've always hated that 'gear' design that nike sticks on the center of the driver face.  It looks pretty our of place on a players clubs.

Seeing the Jordan logo inside of it reinforces the idea that such graphics should be on shoes, not clubfaces.

In the Bag: TaylorMade R11 TP - TaylorMade R7 TP TS - Cleveland Halo - TM TP 2009 3-PW - Vokey SM 52 - Vokey SM 60 - Rife Barbados CS - ProV1x

No, its for performance. If jordan hits his driver square on the logo, it adds 30 yds of carry. Unfair i say....

That's pretty incredible, has he bought them to actually wear, or as a collectible kind of thing? And while I loved MJ, I never had any Jordans either, but I did love watching the guy play. Was cool when he was part of the President's Cup staff in '09. I'm pretty sure he's been on record quite a few times saying he wished he could have played golf at a younger age, and he may have dropped basketball in favor of golf.

He is a shoe whore, like a club hoe...lol, He usually gets two or more pairs, 1 to wear and the other to keep or sale on ebay...he stands in line or has someone else do it for him. He is serious about his shoes.

Jeez, I thought I was a shoe whore too, but I'm much closer to a pure virgin compared to that! Reminds me of Turtle on that one episode of Entourage, who was trying to get some special edition pair of Nikes, and there was some reason he couldn't. But anyway, the reason I ask is because a collection like that would have to be worth something, I would think. I mean, the first Air Jordan's came out in what? '88?

I love me some Entourage...he was looking for some FukiJamas...and Vince ended up paying an arm and leg from the creator to get a one of a kind pair.

That's right, now I remember I don't have HBO, so I end up watching them on DVD well after the season airs, my memory of some of those older ones get kinda blurry.

Side note: I know there were some kinda rare Jordan golf shoes as well. Cant remember where I saw that though.

Every Jordan shoe!?  That's insane, I don't even want to know how many...Things like that make me not feel as bad about spending so much money on golf clubs....I have a handful of friends that buy 4-5 pairs of shoe's every year....
