Some years ago,I want to learn to play golf by myself.However,you know,it is not so easy for me.

Now,more and more guys would like to play golf.so, I want to learn to play it agin.but when I given up some years ago,I want give up again.

Should I give up?

Learning to play by yourself is very difficult.  A golf swing is not a natural or intuitive movement.  Play again but get some lessons to get you going in the right direction.

Cici, don't take this the wrong way but you confuse people.

I've read posts from you saying:

- You're new at golf

- You've been playing for years

- You love golf

- Should you stop playing golf?

- Other people should play golf

- Your mother bought you a putter for your birthday

- Your mother bought you a driver for your birthday

It's all very confusing how much you contradict yourself.

I think so...have you tried table tennis?...there is not so much pressure to play OEM.  If you watch Forrest Gump, you can learn so much and go to cool tournaments in China.  So are you going to try?  I think you would be very good and will find a place where you will fit.  Good luck on your new career as pro table tenniser.

I read your threads.  Sometimes it hard to understand and sometimes not so hard.  But, other times very hard and very easy.

Should I buy a dog?

I don't think you should quit if you really want to play.  If you can afford it and have the opportunity and place to play, stay with it if you like it. You may not become a pro, but that will not keep you from enjoying the game.

Golf is difficult to learn on your own. If you have the resources, take at least a lesson or two to get you on the proper fundamentals. If that is not possible, try to obtain instructional videos or look on Youtube. Adopt good fundamentals of grip, stance, alignment, still head, upper body turn and stick with them.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
