I'm a little dude.  Only around 5'4" and my hands are proportional to that size.

I have this constant problem of not being able to neutralize my grip from strong.  Every time I try feel like I lose control of my swing.

When I think about it, the grip problem wasn't there when I was using Junior clubs... Which was unfortunately not that long ago (Two years.)

Could my grips be too big, or is it simply forcing the neutral grip on myself?

check out the Golf Pride grip selector guide and see what size is recommended.

the Ping webfit guide also has a handsize calculator.

the right grip size is important as it is your only connection to the club.
