Another Annoying Noob!!!

Hey Guys!!

Just wanted to stop by and say "hey".  I am new to this site and new to the game of golf.  I am 24 years old and started playing last year.  I am not that good lol, but am working on it.  I am wanting to take lessons but they are pretty expensive and being a newlywed I do not have tons of money to use on my hobbies.  I own a crappy set of clubs that I purchased one day without doing any research and am stuck with them, but I am slowly adding and replacing.  I have a Maxfli Fire set (driver, woods, irons), a Slazenger putter (next to be replaced), a taylormade r7 60 degree lob wedge and a Taylormade RAC 6 iron.

I have never actually played on a real golf course.  I have played a lot on a small 9 hole course in the area.  My goal is to get comforatable with everything before I take it out and make a fool out of myself.  I am stuck in the rut of my clubs all have to be the same brand (why I have no idea) and am trying to force myself out of that.  Sorry if I ask the same questions that everyone asks...I know that can get annoyong for some of the long time members on this forum so just hang in there with me.

I also had that silly obsession about having to have all my clubs the same brand (except the putter)! I am about to break with that 17-year obsession and buy a Callaway driver to sit alongside my Titleists.

One piece of advice, get out there on the course and start having some fun NOW!

Call me Phil! Yes, I'm a Brit but have been living in Madrid since 1982 and playing golf since 1988. In Spain I support Barcelona due to the influx of British players to the team in the mid-80s. They are really are a joy to watch these days.

I suggest to pay Erik and the others at Golf Evolution a visit for some lessons when you are ready for them. They'll save you a lot of time and effort getting good at this wonderful game!

Phil, I do love watching Barca play.  I had the opportunity to go see Messi and Argentina play the USA last night....he is crazy good.  I personally am an Inter fan.  I also enjoy Man City as well as Barca.
