mid 90s swing speed (Driver Reg Flex) looking for driver shaft? ideas?

im 20 started golfing a year ago and im catching up quick. need a quality driver shaft to replace my wilson smooth stock fuji. anything i should strongly consider? Graffaloy, aldila, etc. more mid trajectory with little spin. i'll take ANY suggestions everyone.

and ive learned over my online search to not get any "made for" shafts. callaway taylormade stuff..

Any of the OEM's are going to be good. The best advice would be to find a qualified club fitter in your area and a launch monitor and try as many different shafts as you can. The data from the launch monitor should be able to help you determine which shaft is the best for your swing and what you are looking for.

What are you looking to get out of a new shaft?

I have a similar swing speed to you and my big miss was a ballooning hook.... My club fitter recommended a grafalloy prolaunch blue.... worked well for me but depending on what your trying to achieve other shafts may work better..

even with a reg fuji e-fit 360, it still feels like im not flexing the shaft plus straight shooters still feel like miss hits.it could easily be that wilson doesnt make a powerful feeling club like the g15 or r9.

a little off topic but i recently tested out a bridgestone j38 dual cavity iron with a project x shaft. the feeling through the swing just felt incredible...not too strong but enough flex to feel the club through my swing...thats relatively what im looking for in a driver/wood as well.

The degree is 10.5.

Anybody get anything in their email or hear anything in the golf world about Loomis golf shafts?

it has a higher ball flight but ive been working on my ball striking and keeping it low. i know that a lower degree than this driver (10.5) would help but i feel it is a great club though.

typically it will balloon with a distance around 220-230 and before that i had a wilson spine (it was cheap 90 bucks brand new) that i could get into the 270s 280s. sometimes a hard hook with occur but for the most part its a straight shooter.

anybody hear of/ or get any emails about a company making an attempted comeback called loomis golf? apparently made some quality shafts years ago, and have 2 wins on the champions tour recently.  wouldnt want to risk the money on a company i have no knowledge of but i did the same thing with wilson irons. luckily got into golf when wilson was making a comeback.

but anyways, any references to Loomis Golf shafts?

The spin that creates your ballooned trajectory is a huge function of the loft on your driver. I would recommend getting to a golf shop and getting on a monitor. I would try three things to help fix that (in order of economics...) - lower spin ball, shaft with higher kickpoint, new driver with less loft.

Does anybody agree?

i know this will probly sound stupid but i have an r9 460 with a shaft i believe is an aldila reax 60. Great club. but i know quite a few golfers have a extra bag of clubs they like to hit. i like hitting this club and with great effort can keep it low but like you said the loft creates the spin so regardless of how low i hit it the spin keeps the distance somewhat short. i just think the made for shaft does not give this club full potential. but the launch monitor would probably help immensely. i was also referring to the wilson smooth i have that id like to keep and the loft being 10.5 might be the problem. but im sure we knew that just wanted to make sure i wasnt talking about the r9
