What are your thoughts on Pressure Point 3?

I started to put all of my focus only on feeling constant pressure there from the start and all the way through the downswing until after contact.  The key being that the initial pressure is created via my body pivot and not my hands "pushing" on the club.  If I can time the pivot just as the club is still going back, I can really feel the pressure build up on PP3.  From there it seems like the rest of swing just takes care of itself.

I took a quick side view of my swing and it was night and day from last year.  My hands were actually ahead of the clubhead at impact with forward shaft lean!  I have never once seen those positions before in previous videos of my swing.

Is it really that simple? Physics tells me that if one can feel constant pressure on PP3 in the downswing, then the clubhead MUST be trailing the hands, correct?

There is one problem to using PP3 for me. You can apply pressure by flipping. I've had good results when I find the feeling of PP3, but I still don't feel comfortable about it. I'll have to see what really goes on with a video first. The problem for me is that regardless of how well I feel PP3, I can still end up hitting the ground too far back. There's some mental subconcious block to getting the bottom of the swing forward. I'm programmed to hit under the ball. I've found out that I can have the hands in front of the ball and still hit it fat.

Sometimes I wish I'd never picked up golf, it's driving me crazy from time to time. :-P

But yeah, if you find a good feeling for PP3, keep going with it. A good way to check your divot is to spraypaint a line on the ground and place the ball on it. You don't want to hit behind the line, or the line itself really.
