Okay, well first of all, heres my swings from last year ( http://thesandtrap.com/forum/thread/40744/my-swing-nikeman6 )

Since the beginnning of this year, I found I was coming over the top a ton (whether thats from the offseason or just bad habits) and have been trying to fix that and since then I'm still searching for a good, consistent swing that can be more controlled. I've been dying to get to the range, but all week the weather here in Michigan has been bad so I got some foam balls out in the wet backyard just to get this up here so I can have things to think about over spring break (just started for me today:) )

so yeah, help is always appreciated. I'm putting three up because I was experimenting with the camera trying to get it in the right position.

oh and now that I've looked through the thread from last year, I saw that Iacas commented on how high my right foot is at contact and its basically the same here. Well, I'll work on that...:)

enjoy

Very nice swing the one thing I would point out that I was told by my coach that you do as well is that you are a little too bend at the waist. Overall looks great! how tall are you? are your clubs long enough?

I see what you mean. and Im somewhere in the ball park of 6'4" to 6'5", but not completely sure. My irons have an extra inch, so they're plenty long in my opinion

nice rhythmic swing. you're swinging from outside in though. i'm guessing your good shots are pull fades, right? when you bring the club back, you're going outside of your target line. so i'd suggest in your backswing start it by letting your shoulder turn push your hands inside a bit before bringing them up. so that now your swinging from the inside instead of the outside.

thanks, and yea. in these particular videos I seem to be coming from the outside more than I like, and that's what I've been working on fixing. i'll try to get some better swings up here soon

Here, I cut the 3 videos down into one, hope that helps.

I'm planning on going to the range today where'll I get driver, FO and DTL as well as some 6 irons and maybe shorter irons.

Here's..took these yesterday. keep in mind, for my iron swings, I was playing my natural 5-8 yard fade that works well for me.

comments appreciated...

aha, now i see why you are so closed off in order to hit it straight, you've got the strongest grip i've ever seen! i can see four knuckles on your left hand at address. you've got a beautiful swing, and great rhythm. your swing looks like you should be a single digit. imho, if you get the grip issue and the alignment straightened out, it will be a lot easier for you to work the ball from r to l without fear of pull hooking it off the planet.

here's a video of the grip i use:

    • It’s not live on free to air tv in the UK, and hasn’t been since 1995. ( I pay a subscription to Sky for generally good golf coverage). There are limited highlights on the BBC for some golf events, but that’s it. Are other/all PGA events on NBC?  Allowing ticket scalping is a systemic failure across sports and showbiz, which could be legislated against, but in the UK is not in any meaningful way. I don’t know much about the secondary market in the US or anti scalping measures.  Charging more to keep prices down is an interesting concept, in practice no doubt you are right even if It sounds a bit Catch 22  Do you think sports tickets and broadcast rights  should be sold on a purely capitalist basis, or is there an argument to say that some sports might benefit more from wider exposure and affordable access. ( golf in the US is apparently not one of these if tickets sold out at those prices so quickly)  Fans might benefit from cheaper tickets and in the UK at least, TV coverage that reaches a wider audience.
