I have freakishly small hands for a man of 26-years of age. Anyway, today while I was hitting a quick 9 holes, I noticed that sometimes while in my swing the club wobbles. Regardless how tight I grip the club, I still get a wobble. I've never noticed it before, but I'm guessing it's always been there. ANYWAY, I was thinking maybe I should get smaller grips. Someone told me it might actually help my slice. (It's bad!) I'm just wondering what you all think. Has your game improved by getting smaller (or bigger) grips?

Yes, grip size is very important.  If you are using too large of a grip, it can lead to the wobbling and slicing you describe.  See the following basic info to give you a guide of what you should be looking for. http://www.golfpride.com/FAQs.aspx#proper_size

I don't have large hands (I use a Med/Large glove), and use standard size grips with one wrap.  I can't stand midsize/oversize grips in anything other than my putter, where I am fine with something like the Winn AVS midsize pistol.  What type of grips are you currently using?

I think they're all standard. All the clubs I'm using I got used, and I'm just assuming they're standard.

I play with Winn Midsize grips.  I had the oversize on an older set and it was fine, I have big hands XL glove.  I like the midsize grips a lot.

I too have small hands for a male.  I wear a Taylormade Small Cadet glove and the length between the end of my wrist and my middle finger is 6 1/2" and I use Winn undersized grips on all my clubs.

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
