Hello,

I am an avid golfer from southern california, member at Sierre La Verne CC a narrow track with very fast and subtle greens that usually run around 12.5. I have shot in the 70's over 100 times but have yet to do it at my course ( 5 80's and 7 81's ) .

I was researching something when I came across this site and decided to sign up, I think it will be fun to discuss golf topics with other golfers from around the country.

I chose Babyfade because I am 6-7 and hit a slight fade with my driver.

Welcome to the board. Always glad to see more Californians here!

Hello MsBee,

I lived in Fallbrook for about a year, I house sitted for a friend who had 16 acres way out on Deluz about 25 minutes from town, played Redhawk and Temecula Creek, SCGA home course ( Rancho California ) which is a favorite and only public corse in Ca designed by RTJ Sr. Anyway thanks for the hello!! Jim

Nice, not many people know where Fallbrook is. We are fortunate to have many great courses very close. One of my personal favorites is Cross Creek; out in the De Luz area. If you are ever in the area look me up and we will go play.

Hello Ms Bee,

I am going to be in San Diego for a recruiting trip at the Bishops School Friday & Saturday 7/1 & 2 and I might hang around for a few days and play some golf, if you are available on such short notice let's try and play. I can get out Saturday afternoon after 1:30 or so and all day Sunday if I stay in the area. Here is my email in case I don't look here again jim@baahealth.com and if this time does not work out lets try and play soon. My coaching schedule opens up the first part of August ( after Junior Olympics and before the men's season at Pomona Pitzer Colleges 8/28 ) and I plan on playing a lot during that break because once the college season begins I don't have time to breathe!!

Take Care, Jim

    • A strong grip cups the wrist (lead) and then it wants to flatten through impact, something I used to be able to avoid to keep it from going left and protecting my forearm (the main premise of my set up). Longer the club, harder it is becoming. Either way, yes, I need to transition to gripping it open.
    • Why don't you grip it "open" so you can return your hand to the place where you're comfortable/not sore, but the ball won't go left? It's effectively weaker… without actually "being" weaker?
    • Day 47 - 2024-11-16 Light backswing work with about 3 or 4 rehearsals for every ball hit. Only about ten minutes while waiting for a potential member to show up (he was 25 minutes late). 😛
    • Idk but I would have to imagine that a putter that is aimed where you think it's aimed would be the most important aspect of a putter
