Was having trouble hitting my 3 wood off the deck and after reading a few articles that recommended using a 4 wood, I ordered a tour edge trilogy. I have never used this brand and was woundering what people think ?? Read a few real good reviews on this club.

I play with a guy fairly often that swears by TE woods... I've heard great things about them other places as well, especially about them being pretty long.  However, if I remember correctly, the shaft in these is longer than most and that is one of the reasons that they have more distance than some of the other brands.  Anyways, you should check them out, it may be the club for you.

Also, if you do a search on the forum, I think that this as been discussed before.

On a side note, since you say you have trouble hitting your wood of the deck, you might want to check out something by Adams; I've always found them easier to hit of the deck than some other brands.

I have a Tour Edge Lift Off 15* 3 Wood, its about 9 years old now,but its like an old friend.I have tried lots of other 3 woods, but haven't found anything as good or long as this club. Its very very long, and after taking a while to get used to,fairly easy to hit.

It's shallow faced, and has quite a strong trajectory, and sits very square at address so may not suit somebody that struggles with a left to right ball flight.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Thanks for the info. double checked the shaft length 42.5", 1/2" shorter than my current 3 wood.

I play the TE Exotics XVG-V 3 & 5 wood and absolutely love them. I have R11 4w sitting in the garage right now collecting dust, it couldn't kick the TE Exotics out of the bag... I am very curious about the the Adams F11 fairway wood though

Nope. 43" for the 3W, which is the same as the TM R11, Ping K15 and most other modern 3 woods. The reason Exotics fairways and hybrids are so long has mainly to do with the head construction. You'll scarcely find a hotter face. My 3W is an Exotics CB2 that I absolutely love. My other Exotics club is an XCG-3 3 Hybrid. That thing is freaky long for a hybrid. I'm not a real long knocker but I can hit that hybrid 200+ and straight all day long.

Hmm... good to know... I had heard that they were longer (shaft wise), but that was way back when some of the original Exotics came out so either the rest of the pack did the same and lengthened their shafts or I'm just completely off.  Either way thanks for the info and setting me straight.

From 2002 to 2008, I played the low-profile Tour Edge Bazooka BetaTi fairway wood.

Had a 14* 3W and a 19* 5W; both had a Grafalloy stiff shaft. If I was swinging well, I could hit a hot draw for extra distance, or a fade which would stop after a couple of bounces. Only reason I dumped them was I needed to shift to regular shafts.

Tour Edge has been around for more than 20 years, and does its own R&D; for clubs. The Exotics have a cult following among low- to mid-HDCP amateurs. Exotics are best if you can get a model which has been superseded. An Exotics FW can cost up to $300 new.

I have played my share of manufacturers. Taylor made first then tillelist, then cleveland. I played 3 different models of taylor made and 4 different models of titlelist dabled with mizuno. Hence my nick name is suited to me. This last October I needed a 5 wood for my Florida set so I got talked into buying an Exotics xcg-4 5 wood. $150. Since then I have been hooked on the Exotics line I have bought 3 Exotics drivers, four xcg-4 hybrids, two sets of xcg-3 irons and today two sets of ex-3 sw-gw combos. I HAVE CLUBS IN NEW ENGLAND AND FLORIDA  so I need two sets of each. Amazingly the average cost of each club was only $60 not including the iron sets which I got for $220 per set new with steel shafts. They have increased my distance by ten yards and my ball flight is much much higher than before. Just search EBAY and you'll find plenty of exotics clubs like new or new just by buying there last year's models.

Tour Edge also comes with a lifetime warranty on their products.  Only company I know that does that.

Great move with the TE 3 wood.... I just put one in my bag and LOVE it. I have played 2 rounds with it, and hit 12 shots (we have 5 par 5s and one short par 4 on my home track).  Of 12 shots, 11 have been ON THE MONEY, including hitting the green 50% of the time on par 5s with my 2nd shot. One thing to note - they have a neutral set up (not draw biased), so you can rotate thru the ball full on without worrying about hooking it.  Good luck !

Im another guy that loves Tour Edge. I have a TEE Bazooka Geomax 3 wood that I cannot replace. I have tried. The thing is crazy long off of the tee. I rarely hit driver anymore and just swing the 3 wood. I hit it dead straight with good distance. I have never tried their drivers, however Im looking to hit a couple to replace the 909. Their hybrids are very nice as well.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
