I spent 5 years as a chronic hooker with big draws most of the time.  Now I play fades on my longer clubs and straight to very very slight fade with the irons.  It's completely changed the game for me.  I'd also suggest looking at your motivation as was mentioned before.  There isn't a thing in the world wrong with a slight fade.  Focus on your swing if you are inconsistent.  You'll start to love the ball flight that helps you score, once you start seeing shots drop all over your target.

I don't think you should think about slowing your swing down, usually that will lock up your big muscles and create different issues, mainly the arms passing the body after impact and shots that go left. Speed is good. Just don't let your hips outrace your upper body.

What about shortening the swing in addition or not to choking down?

Steve

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.
